Luca Steinmann is a Swiss-Italian freelance journalist and university lecturer. He writes about international affairs for many different media in Italy and all over the world and is correspondent in Italy for the Swiss newspaper il Corriere del Ticino. In the last years he has been reporting from different countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, covering conflicts areas and focusing on the migration issue towards Europe, especially towards Germany, country on which he is focusing most of his studies.
