Ofir Haim is, currently, an M.A. student in the department of Islamic and Middle Eastern studies, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He obtained his B.A. in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies and Economics from the Hebrew University as well (2011). The aim of his M.A. thesis is to translate and historically and philologically analyse letters and legal documents that were found in Afghanistan a few years ago. These documents were written in Early New Persian and Early Judaeo-Persian and purchased recently by the National Library of Israel. They are a part of a larger corpus that won the title “The Afghan Genizah.”
