Meir M. Bar-Asher è professore di studi islamici all’Università ebraica di Gerusalemme e fino a poco tempo fa direttore del dipartimento di lingue e letteratura arabe. Meir M. Bar-Asher is professor of Islamic studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and until recently director of the Department of Arabic languages and literature. His fields of interest concern Shiism, including the heterodox currents that derive from it, the exegesis of the Koran, the Islamic philosophy and the affinities between Judaism and Islam.
